Last updated: 19 October 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your download and use of the DocuSign for Windows desktop application and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the application on devices you own or control, solely for preparing, signing and sending agreements. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or distribute the application except as permitted by applicable law.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the content of the documents you process and for ensuring you have the right to use them.
- You must keep your device and local vault secure, including any passwords or keys.
- You must comply with all laws that apply to electronic signatures in your jurisdiction and for your document type.
3. Electronic signatures
The Service helps you create electronic signatures with an audit trail. We do not provide legal advice. You are responsible for confirming that an electronic signature is valid and enforceable for your particular use.
4. Availability & updates
Core signing happens on your device and works offline. Features that send or sync agreements require an internet connection. We may release updates, and may change or discontinue features at any time.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.
